You can use footnotes and endnotes in documents to explain, comment on, or provide references to something you've mentioned in your document. Usually, footnotes appear at the bottom of the page and endnotes come at the end of the document or section.
Hi, To solve this I made a new endnote library (File- New- save it) I had to manually add again the desired articles, books and I could cite and import the reference list without crashing Word 2016 on Windows. EndNote X7 for the Mac now works with Microsoft Word 2016. When you open the desktop version of EndNote, it should tell you that that there is an update available, but you can also select Check for Updates in the EndNote X7 dropdown menu. EndNote X7.4 introduces compatibility with Windows 10, but not necessarily with Word 2016 for Windows. It may be possible to manually get the tools to load again. Have you checked to see if they were disabled? If the problem persists, Technical Support can attempt to assist you.
